Zach
Griffen

My name is Zach Griffen and I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Division of Medical Ethics at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Previously, I received my Ph.D. in Sociology from UCLA, where I also taught courses at the Institute for Society and Genetics and served as an Editorial Assistant for the journal Social Science & Medicine. I study the effects of quantification on social policy through cases such as the economic measurement of social programs, regulation and governance of AI/ML models in healthcare, and computation of genetic risk scores.
